By Tyler Orton Manager, Recycling Programs, Keep America Beautiful
Another year, another America Recycles Day! As the only nationally-recognized day dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling in the United States, America Recycles Day (ARD), an initiative of Keep America Beautiful, helps communities spotlight how and what to recycle.
But what make’s this year different? In 2016, Keep America Beautiful is encouraging everyone to commit to “Reduce. Reuse. Recycle.” in all aspects of your daily routine – at home, at school/work and on-the-go.
So what does this entail? Great question! Some ideas include:
- Take part in your neighborhood recycling drives
- Start a recycling program at your local school or community centers
- Clean out your garage and attic for old newspapers and magazines
